Jay Blevins

Jay Blevins, MS, MFT is a Systems Therapist with a private practice in Madison, WI.  His specialties include alternative-spirituality, alternative-sexuality and working with adolescents.  Jay works with individuals, couples and families.  His approach is based on the idea that lives are improved by building on strengths, not identifying flaws.  He believes in the importance of emotional and sexual health and uses a sex-positive perspective.

Jay earned his Master’s Degree at Edgewood College.  He spent numerous years working at Briarpatch, a nationally recognized teen runaway and counseling center in Madison. He has presented workshops on alternative sexuality at the Wisconsin Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Annual Conference and at Sinsations in Leather in Chicago.  Jay has contributed articles to CARAS’ Standard Deviations and AASECT’s Contemporary Sexuality.  In addition, Jay has an MBA and has owned numerous small businesses.
